Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using TaskDrop. By subscribing or using our service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

TaskDrop provides an AI-powered document generation service for UK tradespeople, accessible via WhatsApp and web browser. We generate professional quotes, invoices, job reports, and follow-up emails based on job descriptions you provide. The service includes payment tracking, automated overdue reminders, and a customer dashboard.

TaskDrop also offers TaskDrop Pay — an optional payment processing feature that allows your customers to pay invoices by card via Stripe. TaskDrop Pay is subject to the additional terms in Section 3a below.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over and based in the United Kingdom to use TaskDrop. By signing up, you confirm you are using the service for legitimate business purposes.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are available on monthly or annual billing cycles, billed in GBP via Stripe
• A 14-day free trial is available on all plans. No payment is taken during the trial period. At the end of the trial your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month
• Annual subscriptions renew automatically each year at the current annual rate
• You can cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• Monthly plans: no refunds are issued for partial months
• Annual plans: if you cancel within 30 days of payment you are entitled to a full refund. After 30 days, a pro-rata refund will be issued for any complete unused months remaining in your annual term. Refund requests should be sent to support@taskdrop.co.uk
• Annual plan pricing represents a discount of approximately 2 months compared to the equivalent monthly rate
• Price changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance and will take effect at your next renewal

3a. TaskDrop Pay

TaskDrop Pay is an optional feature that enables card payments on your invoices via Stripe Connect. By enabling TaskDrop Pay you agree to the following:

• Platform fee: TaskDrop charges a 1% platform fee on each transaction processed through TaskDrop Pay. This fee is deducted automatically from the payment before it is transferred to your account.
• Stripe fees: Stripe's standard processing fees (~1.4% + 20p for UK cards) also apply and are deducted separately. Total cost per transaction is approximately 2.4% + 20p.
• Stripe Connected Account: By connecting TaskDrop Pay, you create a Stripe Express connected account. You agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. TaskDrop is not responsible for Stripe's services, availability, or terms.
• Payouts: Funds are paid out to your connected bank account by Stripe, typically within 2 working days. Payout timing is determined by Stripe and may vary.
• Refunds and chargebacks: As the seller, you are responsible for resolving disputes, refunds, and chargebacks with your customers. TaskDrop's platform fee is non-refundable in the event of a chargeback or refund.
• Optional: TaskDrop Pay is entirely optional. You can continue to use bank transfer at no cost. You can disconnect TaskDrop Pay at any time from your TaskDrop dashboard under the TaskDrop Pay section, or directly from your Stripe Express account at express.stripe.com.
• Eligibility: TaskDrop Pay is available to UK-based sole traders and businesses who pass Stripe's identity verification requirements.

4. Disclaimer

TaskDrop is a document generation tool. It does not constitute financial, legal, tax or accounting advice. Documents generated by TaskDrop are provided as a convenience — you are responsible for ensuring all information is accurate and that documents comply with any applicable legal or regulatory requirements. TaskDrop is not liable for any errors in documents you create or for any decisions made on the basis of those documents. For tax and accounting advice, consult a qualified professional.

5. WhatsApp Service

WhatsApp access is provided via the WhatsApp Business API. By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving WhatsApp messages from TaskDrop including document deliveries, automated reminders, and service notifications. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile provider.

6. Fair Use

Starter plan subscribers are limited to 30 documents per calendar month. Pro and Business plan subscribers have unlimited document generation subject to fair use — we reserve the right to contact subscribers generating unusually high volumes.

7. Document Accuracy

TaskDrop generates documents based on information you provide. You are responsible for:

• Reviewing all generated documents before sending to customers
• Ensuring accuracy of prices, dates, and customer details
• Compliance with applicable trade regulations and standards
• Any errors or omissions in documents sent to your customers

TaskDrop documents are a starting point — always verify before use for legal or safety-critical purposes.

8. Data Retention

Upon cancellation of your subscription, your data (documents, invoices, expense records) is retained for 90 days. During this period you may log in to your dashboard to export your data. After 90 days your data is permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion at any time by emailing support@taskdrop.co.uk or using the Delete My Data button in your dashboard.

9. Acceptable Use

You must not use TaskDrop to:

• Generate fraudulent or misleading documents
• Impersonate another person or business
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer or abuse the service

10. Intellectual Property

Documents generated by TaskDrop using your job descriptions belong to you. Our software, website, and underlying systems remain the property of TaskDrop.

11. Job Report Disclaimers

Job Site Reports: Reports generated under the JOB REPORT flow are job records only and are NOT official regulatory certificates. They do not replace Gas Safe certificates (CP12), EICRs, PAT test certificates, or any other legally required documentation. Always issue official certificates through your relevant regulatory body.

TaskDrop is provided "as is". We are not liable for any losses arising from use of generated documents, service downtime, or errors in AI-generated content. Our maximum liability to you is limited to the subscription fees paid in the previous 30 days.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• TaskDrop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue, profits, or data arising from use of the service
• Our maximum liability to you is limited to the subscription fees paid in the previous 30 days
• We are not responsible for errors in documents generated from incorrect information you provide

13. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be communicated where possible.

14. Cancellation & Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time via email to support@taskdrop.co.uk. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Active subscribers will be notified of significant changes with at least 14 days notice.
